Please let me know how it would be possible to install ubuntu 9.10 & Win 7 on single pc as a dual boot. I have both of these os on discs.

You have left your question/comment for the wrong post. Anyway, you can try using WUBI which allows you to install Ubuntu while you can use Windows on the same pc. Please read its documentation before you proceed. I am using Ubuntu with Windows Vista as a dual boot and have no problem. Please visit http://wubi-installer.org/ for more info.
